New England may be the NFL betting odds favorites against after their absolute humiliation of Tennessee, and now they get to go overseas for the NFL’s third annual trip to London’s Wembley Stadium to face Tampa Bay. The Bucs may have to call a district attorney when they get back to the United States after the beating they’ll take. This is a much easier call than deciding between the Yankees and Phillies in this year’s World Series picks. Patriots vs Buccaneers odds – Sunday, 1:00 PM ET Once you knew the backstory to New England’s 59-0 thrashing of Tennessee, it sounded like something out of a Gambino Family news report of revenge: when it was alleged (and then proven) that the Patriots were spying on other teams, Tennessee coach Jeff Fisher said some less-than-savory things about New England. Fast forward to last Sunday’s snowstorm, when the Patriots racked up a 45-0 halftime lead, and Tom Brady threw an NFL-record five touchdowns in the second quarter. Brady ended up going 29-of-34 for 380 yards and six scores in total, while the Patriots held the Titans to an abysmal -7 yards passing. The Bucs gave up a last-minute touchdown in a 28-21 loss to Carolina, and those who bet on sports aren’t surprised that Tampa Bay is this bad with a new head coach, and essentially a brand new regime. The Bucs had only 245 yards of offense, and two of their three scores came from defense and special teams. Josh Johnson was 11-of-17 for 147 yards and a pick, and it’s tough for the charges to get behind the young quarterback when the system is such a mess. By the end of this game, Johnson may be kneeling to kiss Brady’s ring, or rings. Your sportsbook has the Patriots as a 14.5-point favorite, and you couldn’t make a line high enough for this game. The Patriots looked like they had their rhythm back on both sides of the ball, as the offense will simply overpower the Bucs with deep balls, while their defense will harass Johnson and company like the IRS. It’s not easy to see that you should put the Patriots in this week’s sports picks. Related picks:
